In my month long residency at Almost Perfect in Tokyo, Japan I explored tangible expressions of the medium film. The residency is located in Taito-ku, a part of Tokyo that has craftspeople on every street. It was the perfect place to slow down and focus on my craft. 

The level of consideration for every part of life in Tokyo is extraordinary. As someone with a basic background in design, this was enough to reinvigorate my desire to make design a much bigger part of my practice as a film artist. For my exhibition I designed flip books and a mutoscope that featured moments of serendipity I captured on my Super-8 camera during my stay.
